We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide high-quality support to individuals with disabilities in a residential or community setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Behavioral Support: Implement individualized support plans and strategies to address behavioral needs, providing guidance and interventions as necessary.
- Skill Development: Encourage and assist individuals in developing daily living skills and achieving personal goals, fostering independence and self-sufficiency.
- Safety and Supervision: Ensure a safe and secure environment by monitoring individuals’ activities, preventing accidents, and addressing any safety concerns.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, incidents, and progress toward goals in compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with family members, healthcare providers, and other team members to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.
- Community Integration: Support individuals in participating in community activities and accessing services that promote social inclusion and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to manage challenging behaviors, and proficiency in basic medical and caregiving techniques.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in healthcare or disability support is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move individuals as needed, perform physical tasks related to caregiving, and remain on feet for extended periods.
- Background Check: Successful completion of background checks and any other required screenings.
