Cake decorator/Pastry Maker

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and decorating cakes for various occasions, ensuring that each creation meets our high standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a keen eye for detail, along with strong customer service skills to interact with clients and understand their needs.

Duties

• Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications and preferences.
• Prepare cake batter, frosting, and other ingredients as needed.
• Bake cakes and ensure they are cooked to perfection.
• Package finished products for delivery or display.
• Collaborate with the catering team to create custom cake designs for events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients to understand their cake decoration needs.
• Stay updated on current trends in cake decorating and pastry arts.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cake decorating or a related culinary field is preferred.
• Strong skills in food preparation, baking, and pastry techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Knowledge of catering practices and restaurant operations is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A creative mindset with an eye for aesthetics in cake design.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
