Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As an LPN, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients while assisting with their medical needs.
Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations and procedures
- Provide wound care and dressing changes
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and updated medical records using electronic health record systems (Epic)
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
- Valid LPN license in the state of [State]
- Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as ER, assisted living, home care, or dementia care
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of common medical conditions
- Familiarity with acute pain management techniques
- Experience administering injections and performing other nursing procedures
