What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend part-time Receptionist (Independent Living) position at Allegria Village?
Allegria Village, a senior living community in Dearborn, is looking for a front desk receptionist for our Independent Living facility.
Schedule: This position is part-time, and must have the ability to work every weekend and flexibility to fill in on other days when needed. Shift available: either 10am-6pm or 12pm-8pm.
Overview: The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and directing visitors to the facility. The receptionist is also responsible for directing all incoming calls as well as internal calls and performs related services and duties.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Answers calls on a multi-line switchboard and routes incoming calls and place outgoing calls. Retrieves messages from voicemail and forwards to appropriate person or department.
2. Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, etc.
3. Greets our residents, on-site visitors, vendors, and employees and determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel. Must become familiar with the campus and be prepared to give appropriate directions.
4. Maintain resident information system including updated floor and room listing of all residents to be used in referring calls and to be used in sorting of mail
5. Responsible for visitor and resident sign in and out at the front desk when entering and leaving the facility
6. Responsible for all activities related to the postage for outgoing mail and sorting and distributing incoming staff and resident mail, papers, packages, and floral deliveries.
7. Make sure that deliveries are directed to the appropriate people as soon as received. Follow-up if packages are not picked up in a timely manner.
8. Maintain updated personnel contact information
9. Log Daily events and give report to evening receptionist before leaving for the day
10. Report any concerns/problems to support services manager in a timely manner.
11. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Must be familiar with clerical practices, office procedures and automated equipment.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are required.
- Must be customer service oriented and driven.
- Detail oriented and highly organized, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to think quickly on their feet.
- Must be an enthusiastic, people person with sincere care and compassion for our senior population.
- Must be willing to go that step above and beyond to assist our residents in any way possible.
- Must have a professional appearance and professional phone manners without fail, with pleasant
- Computer experience (Excel, Word, etc.) is required.
Education/Certification
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
