Your Role
The Development Engineer at Business Unit Americas, Tube. Tube Americas is facing a changing market and needs to reposition itself (portfolio and go-to-market) for the future. This position as Development Engineer will play an important role in making this transformation. The purpose of this position is to has several Components : Be part of strategic, growth, and re-investment projects, lead local New Products Development (NPD), Bridging communication and work between tube production units, Sandviken R&D, the local production units, and implementing the supporting technologies, and act as a catalyst of change, and to work closely with the local teams.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead local New Products Development (Trail Plan, Risk Assessment, Final Reports and track the mill new capabilities)
- Communicate with other tube units and Sandviken R&D.
- Be part of investment projects
- Continuously support the development of the local production units and adapt to market needs to strategies
Skills and Qualifications
About You
Education- A bachelor's degree in Material Science or master's degree.
Experience- minimum 5 years of relevant product development experience and no more than 10 years of technical tube production experience.
