Maintenance Technician
In this role you will perform maintenance work at the facilities, within the production plant, and other maintenance related duties in Scottdale, PA (around 50 employees) specializing in producing the high precision stainless steel tube products for very demanding markets like Aerospace and Medical.
Your Role
The Maintenance Technician will assist in operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Other tasks include:
- Locating sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
- Removing defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Assisting Manager in controlling downtime by helping to inform production workers of routine maintenance techniques, monitoring compliance.
- Fabricating repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Assisting in maintaining equipment and parts.
- Assisting in conserving maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Assisting in maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Must be available nights and weekends as needed.
About You
You possess a high school diploma or the equivalent. You have 3-5 years in Tooling, Machinist, or Millwright and 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. You are not only technically savvy but you are also customer service driven and can work well in a team setting. You demonstrate the familiarity with the following; Milling machines: horizontal, vertical & jig bore, lathes: engine & table top model, grinding: surface & cylindrical, machine repair, soldering, heat treating. We are looking for someone who can lift up to 50 lbs, work hands-on with specific equipment and perform basic math and reading.
