Responsibilities:
- Organizes and directs on-going functions of hospice
- Assures that the documentation of services provided is accurate and timely
- Must ensure that substantially all core services are routinely provided directly by Hospice employees
- Maintains professional, financial and administrative responsibility of all services and implements Quality Assurance processes
- Directs and participates in the financial management of Hospice (i.e. payroll, approval of purchase orders, determination of "no-pay" status and preparation of annual budget).
- Develops marketing strategies, public relations and community education goals and represents Hospice in the community and supports fund raising activities as directed by the Board (i.e. grant proposals, fund raising event attendance, etc)
- Participates in long-range planning and prepares monthly reports for Governing Board and other committees concerning various programs of Hospice
- Recruits, employs, assigns, orients, supervises and assures appropriate training of Hospice personnel and contractors
- Confers regularly with Medical Director on medically related administrative concerns and patient care concerns
- Monitors, implements and evaluates Hospice programs, services and personnel. Prepares an annual evaluation
- Maintains patient rights and dignity. Assures the care of the dying patient, optimizing his/her comfort and dignity

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am 5:30pm
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Substantial marketing/sales experience in hospice or post-acute area
2 years of leadership experience in long-term care, hospice, home health, palliative care, or hospital environment
Prior experience as a Director of Patient Care Services, Executive Director, Administrator, or similar
Deep knowledge of all relevant state regulations and policies
Excellent skills in communication, management, organization, and problem-solving
Knowledge of nonprofit organizations, fundraising, and other relevant skills are a plus
Well versed in the Hospice Medicare regulations and conditions of participation.
Requirements:
Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured.
Able to travel when necessary.
Has satisfactory references from current employers and/or professional peers.
Is self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
