GENERAL SUMMARY
The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for client relationship management and business development within the AEC sector. This role focuses on lead generation, client needs assessment, and service positioning to drive new business.
This position reports to and takes direction from the Sales Director and/or Department Leadership.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive new business and strengthen current strategic client relationships.
- Manage pipeline through networking and/or cold-calling to meet or exceed quarterly sales targets.
- Integrate market insights into sales strategy.
- Provide regular updates on sales progress to leadership.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Stay informed on industry trends for strategic sales positioning.
- Work with internal teams to tailor proposals for client needs.
- Upon request, provides support and performs tasks related to other entities owned and/or affiliated with Butch Allen and/or “Allen Enterprises”, including, but not limited to, Allen & Company, Allen Underground, TransformXD, Nexus3D, Nexus Geospatial, and Parkforms.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 experience in sales, preferably in the AEC industry.
- Demonstrated experience with CRM tools and sales analysis software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with project management software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team and interact professionally with staff at all levels.
- Ability to consistently demonstrate empathy and soft communication to team members and stakeholders, both through written and verbal communications.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, while also being a collaborative team player.
- Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate issues and proactively address them.
- Experience using data and metrics to develop and autonomously implement strategies designed to proactively mitigate issues with minimal supervision.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The familiar work environment for this position is an indoor business office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently sit, talk, or hear and will occasionally stoop, kneel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is often required to stand and walk. This position also required to travel for meetings and training.
AVAILABILITY
This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
