What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full or Part-time Summer Custodians position at Allen Community College?
Full time and/or Part-time summer positions only
Monday-Thursday
RESPONSIBILITIES: Custodial staff will assist in painting and cleaning college dormitories
including kitchens, bathrooms as well as some light maintenance work
(changing light bulbs, hanging blinds, moving furniture in dorm rooms).
Additional duties include helping grounds with lawn care as well as cleaning
up the grounds, landscaping and athletic fields.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma, or G.E.D, preferred. Must be able to lift and stack
objects from approx. 25 up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 20-
30 pounds of force to lift, carry, push and pull or otherwise move objects.
Successful completion of background check.
LOCATION: Iola, Kansas Campus
SALARY: $15.00 per hour for temporary position – no benefits.
STARTING DATE: May 19 – July 25, 2025 (approximately)
