Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a difference in your community this summer? We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join Team Read as Supervisors. In this role, you will oversee Teen Readers as they visit local parks, community centers, and libraries throughout Allen County, where they engage younger children in reading and educational games. As a Team Read Supervisor, you will ensure a safe, supportive, and enriching environment while providing guidance to help Teen Readers develop essential life and work skills. Hourly rate of pay: $17.42
This is a temporary, summer position
Must be available to work Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00-3:00 during the months of June and July. Due to the brief nature of this program, Team Read Supervisors must not miss more than 3 working days.
\n- Experience working with children ages 5-12 years or youth ages 13-18 (required).
- One (1) year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role (preferred).
- Techniques for working with a variety of individuals from various socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Must enjoy and be comfortable working with youth ages 5-18 years.
- Communicating and emphasizing professional behavior standards with Teen Readers.
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team.
- Ability to work in both quiet and high-energy environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, understanding, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to handle conflicts and challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
