Are you passionate about inspiring young readers and fostering a love of learning? Our busy downtown Main Library is seeking a dedicated Branch Assistant in the Children's and Teen Services Department (appropriately called CATS, though, you don't have to be a cat lover to apply). As a pivotal member of our library family, you will be at the forefront of providing exceptional customer service and operational support. A typical day involves assisting our customers with registering for library cards, answering general questions, checking library materials in and out, and providing computer and technical assistance.

This job will remain open until filled. While this role primarily focuses on working with children, the selected candidate will also receive cross-training to assist in the Teen's Department as needed.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of customer service OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Starting pay is $13.77 per hour and up based on related and comparable work experience
