The Rolland Center Assistant plays a key role in creating an enriching and welcoming visitor experience. This position involves assisting guests in navigating the collection, engaging with interactive exhibits, and supporting the daily operations of the Center. The ideal candidate has a passion for history, excellent customer service skills, and a desire to help patrons explore Lincoln’s legacy.

This is a 20-hour per week position that will include Monday and Wednesday evenings and a weekend day.
\n- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service to visitors exploring the Rolland Center.
- Assist patrons with digital and physical exhibits, helping them engage with the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection.
- Lead special tours for groups and provide insightful interpretation of artifacts and displays.
- Support the maintenance and refreshment of exhibits and programs, ensuring an engaging visitor experience.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions, collaborating with Lincoln librarians to provide accurate information.
- Help manage the overall functionality and appearance of the Rolland Center, ensuring that interactive and digital features are in working order.
- Passion for history, particularly Abraham Lincoln and 19th-century America.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience in education, museums, libraries, or public service is a plus.
- Comfortable using and assisting with digital displays and interactive technology.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Starting pay is $13.77 per hour and up based on work experience.
