Job Title: Machine Operator (Case Packer)
Department: Operations
Reports To: Distr. Manager / Production Supervisor
Position Type: Full Time
Schedule/Shift: 1st Shift - 5:30am - 2:00pm ( Monday thru Friday with O/T)
Starting Wage: $19.00 per hour
Purpose of PositionThe position is responsible for maintaining production line equipment performance required to meet schedule goals.

Position ExpectationsProductivity
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions.
- Minimize machine downtime through effective and efficient trouble shooting.
- Complete machine changeovers in established (SOP) time frames.
- Insure machines are running at established (SOP) speeds.
- Keep machines loaded with packaging materials.
- Responsible for Weekly Machine PM
- Inspection of vacuum system. Clean filter and suction cups. Reassemble
- Inspect and clean dancing bar, pinch rollers, nip rollers
- Inspect knife for damage
- Inspection and cleaning of glue area.
- Inspect heat tunnel belt for plastic build up.
- Safety panels inspection and cleaning.
Initiative:
- Help other team members when time permits.
Safety:
- Follow established production area safety policies.
- Operate machines within the parameters of manufacturer specifications. Never bypass safety features on the machines like guards and switches.
- Report any unsafe conditions, accidents/incidents, or near misses immediately to your supervisor/manager.
- Wear PPEs as required
- Follow safety and security policies and SOPs
Quality:
- Insure correct case labels are being used.
- Insure case labels are being applied correctly.
- Insure trays are glued and overwrapped properly.
- Insure cases/trays are coded and printed correctly.
- Collect quality samples and document quality checks as required.
- Report any unresolved quality issues immediately.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions.
- Daily machine cleaning before and after production (Maintain a dust free machine before and after every shift).
