Caregiver Elderly Care

Job Summary
We are seeking to hire a Caregiver for our elderly mom Barbara at her home. We are a Christian family hiring for evening care from 4:00-8:00 Monday through Friday and weekend evenings.

we are seeking someone who is compassionate, reliable, timely and compassionate.

This caregiver must have reliable transportation and 3 good work related references.. They must be able to pass a background check.

This position is dedicated to enhancing the quality of our mothers life by assisting with her cleanliness, meals and activities, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with the ability to work effectively.

Duties

• Provide direct support to elderly clients, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor patients' health by checking vital signs and reporting any changes in condition to the family.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
• Assist with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs.
• Offer companionship and engage our mother in meaningful conversations or activities to promote mental well-being.
• Support mom with memory care needs with activities and patience.
• Maintain cleanliness within the home living space to ensure a safe environment for mom.
• Document care provided and any observations regarding moms health or behavior.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in direct support roles, particularly in home care or group home settings, is preferred.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols is required.
• Familiarity with dementia and memory care is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with our family. Professional behavior is required.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of elderly individuals.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.32 - $18.06 per hour
