Do you have a passion for food science and beverage development? Ready to blend creativity with science in an exciting lab environment? We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Research & Innovation Technician to support our team and help create the next big thing in food and beverages!
What You’ll Do:
- Lab Gear Guru: Calibrate and maintain lab equipment like a pro to keep everything running smoothly.
- Weighing Wizard: Accurately measure ingredients and showcase stellar lab practices—precision is your middle name!
- Sample Maestro: Assist the R&I team in creating benchtop samples of new food and beverages that wow.
- Project Partner: Jump into both short-term and long-term projects to support research and innovation goals.
- Testing Ace: Execute sensory tests, prepare samples for research, and analyze data (TA, Brix, Density, Refractive Index, and more).
- Inventory Detective: Keep tabs on raw materials and supplies, ensuring nothing goes missing on your watch.
- Procurement Pro: Work with the procurement team to source materials and get them in the door.
- Record Keeper Extraordinaire: Maintain flawless documentation for samples, tests, and research.
- Regulation Rockstar: Stay in the know on food and beverage regulations, like GMP, HACCP, NSF, and SQF, ensuring every sample meets safety and quality standards.
- Problem Solver: Spot errors, communicate with your manager, and help find the best solutions.
You’ll Shine if You Have:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science is required.
Experience: 0-2 years of lab experience (bonus if you’ve dabbled in beverage development!).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel mastery is a plus!).
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- An interest in the latest food and beverage trends and innovations.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
