What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer School- Elementary Counselor position at Allen ISD?
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with summer school teachers to facilitate SEL lessons
Support student attendance and academic achievement
Establish regular communication and check-ins with students
Provide individual counseling when needed
Consult and collaborate with students’ teachers, families, and administrators on a regular basis in order to develop strategies to help students be successful in Summer School
Respond to student emergencies in accordance with Arlington School Policies and Policy Implementation Procedures (conduct risk assessments for suicide and support threat assessments)
EXPERIENCE :
Experience with using Synergy
Working with elementary age students
Working with students of diverse backgrounds
QUALIFICATIONS :
Hold a Virginia License as a school counselor
