What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer School ESY Special Education Virtual Teacher position at Allen ISD?
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, organize, implement appropriate instruction based on student’s IEP goals
Adapt instruction, assignments and curriculum depending on the needs of the students
Collect data on student critical life skill goals
Provide accommodations and modifications for students as needed
Working collaboratively with school staff, student services staff, and families
Plan and organize activities to be carried out by an assistant if assigned
EXPERIENCE :
Teaching students with disabilities
Working with a variety of ability / grade levels (classes are multi-graded)
QUALIFICATIONS :
Must hold a valid license (or provisional license) in special education
Knowledge of best practices and experience teaching students with disabilities
Knowledge of the academic, social, and emotional needs of students with disabilities
Experience with virtual learning
