Award Winning Law Firm seeking an Experienced Personal Litigation Paralegal with 3-4 years of experience to join our fun, fast-paced, professional team. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will support our attorneys in all stages of litigation, from case inception to resolution. Your role will involve conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing case files. You will work closely with clients, witnesses, and experts to ensure that all aspects of the case are thoroughly prepared and well-organized. Duties include handling a caseload; working with attorneys; providing excellent care and service to clients; professionally communicating with defense counsel, judges, insurance adjusters, and medical providers, etc.; ability to efficiently work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines; proficient in Microsoft 365 (WordPerfect/Word, Outlook); bilingual in Spanish a plus.
Job Duties:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Draft and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, responses, and motions.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
- Organize and manage case files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Prepare and file court documents, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, court appearances, and meetings.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and coordinate case activities.
- Assist in trial preparation, including creating exhibits, organizing evidence, and managing trial logistics.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s degree, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in a law firm environment.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
We offer a competitive compensation package, with a salary based on experience. Additionally, a sign-on bonus of $7,500 will be provided to candidates who are hired and remain employed for at least 30 days.
