Summary :

We are seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Intern to represent Allen Marine Tours, Alaskan Dream Cruises, and True Alaskan Tours in Juneau, AK. This role offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, social media management, and event promotions within the tourism industry. The intern will play a key role in capturing and sharing the guest experience while supporting marketing initiatives that enhance our brand presence

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in creating marketing materials, social media content, and promotional campaigns.
Capture and edit photos and videos for social media, website, and digital marketing efforts.
Help manage social media accounts by scheduling posts, engaging with audiences, and tracking performance.
Support content development focused on tour experiences, local history, and community stories.
Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target audiences.
Assist in organizing and promoting events, tours, and community outreach initiatives.
Work closely with the team to develop branding strategies and marketing campaigns.
Maintain and update website content, ensuring accuracy, engagement, and SEO optimization.
Assist in executing digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns, online ads, and analytics tracking.
Special projects may be assigned as required by the business.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Strong interest in digital marketing, content creation, and social media.

Basic skills in photography, videography, and graphic design (Adobe Suite or Canva experience a plus).

Experience with website platforms (WordPress, Shopify, or similar) is a plus.

Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Passion for Alaska’s history, tourism, and cultural storytelling.

Must pass a security background check and four panel, non-DOT, drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SEO, social media analytics, and online advertising.

Knowledge of video editing and drone photography.

Familiarity with Southeast Alaska’s tourism industry.
