Job Description
Title : Program Manager III
Location : Herndon, VA
Duration : 6 Months
Rate : $65.00 / hour
Responsible for handling all aspects of technical projects, including initiating programs, tracking progress, and providing support to resolve complex issues. Additionally, create appropriate documentation including but not limited to : agendas, minutes, and capturing accomplishments. -
This position is for a highly skilled program manager with a proven experience managing infrastructure, software, or cloud based programs. You must possess excellent communication skills, experience managing projects in a matrix organization, the ability to drive decisions and projects to completion, and enjoy working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will need to evaluate data, utilize best practices and identify processes to improve / automate.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Working with multiple delivery teams to take ownership and accountability of technical project planning and delivery.
Translate business objectives into execution strategy (tactical and strategic), lead and successfully execute the strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership.
Ensure data is collected to appropriately inform decision making for mitigating risks and resolving issues.
Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent programs from delivering on program objectives.
Drive for clarity to keep teams moving forward. Monitor and resolve end-to-end process for things like : repeating pain points / sticking points, blockers. Build plans and mitigations to address pain points to ensure the alacrity of the cloud and / or program.
REQUIRED SKILLS :
- 4-6 years of program management experience with a proven track record of delivering business value;
- Experience working in large scale infrastructure environments;
Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies.
Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.
Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike.
Complete ownership and ability to solve problems.
Ability to be flexible with a positive attitude and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, proven ability to track and execute software projects.
Able to juggle multiple projects and tasks.
Ability to learn salesforce application to build tools is a plus.
Interest in technology and ability to develop application / tool to automate processes is a plus.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Compute Science or applicable work experience.
