We are looking for a Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently to their destinations. The Van Driver must be able to follow instructions and maps, maintain the vehicle in good condition, and ensure the safety of passengers at all times. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, excellent customer service skills, and a strong commitment to safety.
School Van Driver Job Description
We are seeking a School Van Driver to join our team! You will drive students to and from school. CDL not required but welcome!
Job Summary
- Transports students or clients, ensures adherence to safety rules, as necessary.
General Accountabilities
- Drives 8-10 passenger vehicles to transport passengers.
- Complies with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
- Maintains order among passengers during trips to ensure safety.
- Checks the condition of a vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order.
- Reports any bus malfunctions or needed repairs.
- Picks up and drops off passengers at designated locations, following strict time schedules.
- Maintains knowledge of first-aid procedures.
- Prepares and submits reports that may include the number of passengers or trips, hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption, or fares received.
- Reads maps and follows written and verbal geographic directions.
- Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort.
- Keeps bus interiors clean for passengers.
- Reports delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.

Job Qualifications:
- Operate a van safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform pre-trip inspections on the van before each trip.
- Maintain a clean and organized van interior.
- Ensure that all passengers are safely secured in the van.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers.
- Clean Criminal Background (Finger-print based background check and no DCFS cases)
- School Bus Permit Endorsement required- Company will help you get this endorsement if you do not have one.
- Class B CDL with SBP endorsement welcome but not required.

- Will be required to drive when the need arises
