Specialty Medical Office is looking for a full-time Patient Account Rep. Assistant in San Jose area. Full-time position offers Holiday pay, Paid Time Off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Term Life benefits, 401k and pension plans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collecting patient shot co-pays and outstanding balances
- Maintains petty cash fund and balances cash drawer daily.
- Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and provides patients with information when indicated.
- Verifies insurance benefits for patients starting shots and/or when patient indicates change with carrier information.
- Maintain files and records in a confidential manner.
- Processes, posts, and photocopies over-the-counter payments and bankcards.
- Performs other duties as assigned by managers and/or Executive Director.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one-year billing/accounts receivable experience in a health care organization preferred.
