- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Proficient in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Check-in, and check-out patients.
Register new patients and file medical documents.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
Answer and route telephone calls.
Record and follow up on messages.
Collect patient payments and balances.
Verify insurance benefits and eligibility.
