Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Patient Accounts Representative to join our healthcare team. In this role, your responsibility is to provide billing assistance and general support to the billing office. Responsibilities include verifying patients' health insurance prior to appointments. Process patient statements, collecting and processing payments. Working with patients in implementing payment plan options.
Responsibilities
- Review patient account for discrepancies
- Answer any questions patients may have about their account balances.
- Assist patients with terms for repayment structures.
- Negotiate any overdue balance to recover payment from patients
- Generate bills for patients including payment plan options.
Qualifications
- The ability to interpret an insurance company EOB
- Experience in medical billing
- Proficient in computer software and technology
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiar with ICD 10 coding & medical terminology
Hours
Monday, Wednesday, & Friday
9am-5pm
This position may lead to full time with additional responsibilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Expected hours: 22.5 per week
