Job Summary:
AllerVie is seeking a Medical Billing & Front Desk Support Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This multifaceted role requires a balance of excellent customer service, administrative support, and billing expertise. The ideal candidate will work closely with both patients and insurance companies to ensure smooth billing processes while also providing support at the front desk to manage patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and general administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk Support & Patient Interaction:
  • Greet patients and assist with check-in/check-out processes in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Schedule appointments and ensure all necessary steps for appointment preparation are completed.
  • Answer incoming calls, address patient inquiries, and provide assistance with payment arrangements.
  • Discuss billing and payment options with patients and collect payments at the time of service.

Billing & Payment Management:
  • Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all information is correct and up-to-date.
  • Obtain any missing payer information and prepare invoices for patients.
  • Communicate with patients to settle outstanding accounts and answer any questions related to billing.
  • Collect patient and insurance payments, posting updates to the correct accounts in a timely manner.
  • Submit insurance claims and follow up on unpaid, rejected, or denied claims to resolve issues and resubmit when necessary.

Insurance Claims Resolution:
  • Work directly with insurance companies to resolve outstanding claims, ensuring timely reimbursement for services rendered.
  • Ensure that prior authorization, referrals, and verification of benefits (VOB) are properly managed and escalated as needed after initial attempts.

Administrative Support:
  • Assist with managing the billing log for Client Assistant Requests (CAR) and support the clinic team with other administrative tasks.
  • Serve as back-up for serum billing documentation, specifically SLIT serum logs.
