Job Summary: We are looking for a Patient Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a critical role in ensuring a welcoming and seamless experience. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, addressing patient inquiries, and collaborating with healthcare providers to support exceptional care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a professional and friendly atmosphere.
- Appointment Management: Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
- Communication: Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries from patients and providers promptly and professionally.
- Insurance & Billing: Verify insurance details and assist patients with billing-related questions.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers to facilitate a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in healthcare administration is preferred.
- Proven experience in customer service, particularly in a healthcare or medical setting.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
