Position Overview:
The Associate Advisor is a key contributor to our mission of empowering clients to achieve financial freedom. By assisting with financial plan preparation, conducting research, and maintaining client relationships, the Associate Advisor ensures a seamless client experience, fosters long-term client relationships, and strengthens the firm’s commitment to excellence. People Management: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions:
Comprehensive Financial Planning:
- Assist lead advisors in preparing customized financial plans and reports tailored to each client’s objectives using financial planning software.
- Analyze and summarize financial data, including cash flow, retirement projections, investments, taxes, and risk management.
- Develop financial scenarios and recommendations to align with the client’s financial goals.
Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough research on investment products, tax strategies, insurance options, and retirement solutions.
- Stay updated on financial planning industry trends, regulatory changes, and new financial products.
- Utilize financial planning software and tools to perform detailed analysis and scenario modeling.
Compliance and Administrative Support:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all client communications and documentation, with strong attention to detail.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as tracking client deliverables, and managing timelines for client projects.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with lead advisors and team members to provide seamless support across all client interactions.
- Communicate effectively with lead advisors to keep them informed on client needs and plan progress.
- Participate in client and team meetings, contributing insights and technical expertise.
- Collaborate with Client Service Associates (CSAs) to ensure the smooth onboarding of new clients and maintain client satisfaction with ongoing service.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining ongoing and regular communication to foster long-term relationships.
- Coordinate and schedule client meetings, ensuring a seamless and professional client experience.
- Prepare for client meetings, including gathering necessary data and documentation, to ensure a responsive and effective service experience.
- Facilitate portfolio changes, account reviews, and the implementation of financial recommendations.
- Provide exceptional service through account maintenance, reporting, and follow-up on client inquiries.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and timely records in the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system and other client files.
- Ensure all client data is up-to-date and easily accessible for team members.

Skills and Qualifications
Required
- 1-3 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a similar role.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships through trust and empathy with internal and external clients.
- Effective communication skills to convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines effectively.
- Commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and delivering exceptional client experiences.
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to understand and respond to client needs.
- Ability to recognize issues that require attention and provide effective support.

- Strong financial acumen, including an understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and risk management.
- Adept at interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and using financial metrics to support decision-making.

- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting principles.

Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- CFP® designation or working towards a CFP® certification
- Proficiency with financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, Right Capital) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and portfolio management tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of stationary office work, up to 8 hours at a time.
- Occasionally climb, bend, stand, twist, kneel, crouch, squat, and balance neck while performing other tasks.
- Fine motor skills to operate standard office equipment such as a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
- Clear and effective verbal communication in person, over the phone, and during virtual meetings.
- Visual acuity to read and analyze printed or electronic financial documents and data.
- Lift items up to 15lbs, infrequently.
