Job Purpose:
Production and administration of timely bi-weekly payroll for all employees within the organization in an accurate and timely manner in compliance with federal, state and local municipality regulations using designated Payroll Software. Payroll reparation, review, processing and employee record maintenance. Monitor and prepare payroll tax payments and reports for recordkeeping, Operations and Financial Accounting. Collaborate with organizational Managers, Supervisors, Directors and VP’s to train them in the proper review and approval of timesheets, added benefits, time-off, and reimbursements; monitor and ensure compliance with agency policy and applicable rules and regulations.
Reporting Relationships

Education
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, human resources or related field. CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certificate preferred, but not required.
Experience
Minimum of six years Payroll related experience processing payroll for mid-sized companies (500-750 Employees). UKG payroll software experience preferred and MS Office application proficiency required.
Skills
Ability to work independently. Experience with Microsoft Office; 10-key adding machine by touch; typing at 40 wpm; posting and reconciling supplementary ledgers; familiarity with financial reporting systems and statements; communication skills both written and oral.
Other
Ability to negotiate stairs, climb a stepladder, and lift equipment and supplies up to 25 lbs.

- Responsible for the entire bi-weekly Payroll process for approximately 650 employees, with a Payroll cost, each pay period, of approximately $2.0M, including benefits and taxes. Maintenance and organization of all Payroll documents and files, reviewing Payroll documents and time sheets, deductions and 401k calculations, managing and updating the payroll system, garnishments, preparing for direct deposit of company funds for both employee payroll and tax liabilities and printing/distributing paychecks. These processes are completed in several phases to ensure an accurate and timely Payroll each time.
- Employee record maintenance according to organizational and applicable IRS and DOL retention compliance requirements.
- Initiate and prepare appropriate Payroll reports, statements, and record keeping within specified deadlines. Develop custom reports using UKG’s BI (Business Intelligence) as needed.
- Organize and maintain Payroll electronic filing systems and business records for the specific area of responsibility within the Business Office, which includes, but is not limited to Payroll. This must be completed by the Friday following each bi-weekly Payroll period.
- Oversee current data regarding employee accounts, etc. within the Payroll system.
- Stay updated on and comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Maintain multiple states registration with each states Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Service, monitoring and adjusting for tax updates and altered pay requirements.
- Work closely with Human Resources to preserve the integrity of the UKG payroll software and to implement changes in Payroll procedures and policies.
- Develop and Implement payroll policies and procedures with training modules for each facet involved in payroll processing and duties within the role at the organization.
- Create training for employees and supervisors for payroll related tasks essential to their role.
- Interact extensively with Business Office staff with training of new personnel and helping to implement new procedures and processes.
- Field employee inquiries on hours and earnings, pay statements, payroll taxation, deductions, direct deposit, tax forms, time-off benefits and balances, income withholding orders, UKG navigation, etc.,
- VOE (Verification of Employment) fulfillment
- Complete other duties assigned by the VP - Finance and CFO.
- Follow all AllHealth Network Policies and procedures
- Complete all required trainings as listed in Relias Learning (both online training and face-to-face training) within required timelines
- Perform other duties as required within the scope of the position and the experience, education and ability of the employee
- Represent the department and serve as a payroll related topic resource for every AllHealth employee and former employee
Education
