Summary:To provide personal care for clients in their home by performing non-medical care. Assisting client with Activity of Daily Living and Instrumental Activity of Daily Living. Caregiver must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, an ability to read, write and carry out direction, mature and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
Certifications:(one of the following):
- CNA certified or completed a 40-hour aide training course
- PCA certified (we do the training)
- One-year verifiable experience in an institutionalized setting (home health agency, hospital, hospice, or long-term care facility)
- Must complete 12 hours of continuing education annually
The following competencies are a must:
- Communication with the office and/or RN as required
- Carries out client’s request for service and assistance; Meets schedule commitments.
- Maintains confidentiality;

- Able to perform time calculations;
- Shows respect and sensitivity for cultural/religion differences.
- Prioritize tasks and uses time efficiently.

- Follows instructions, responds to management direction.

Additional training/guidance on ADL’s
Allheart Senior Care follows the Office of Long Term Care (OLTC) guidelines and instructions. The manual is kept in the RN Supervisor’s office and available for viewing at any time. The RN will go over the procedures step by step with the training curriculum if further assistance or training is needed on any task.
