Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. This role is integral to the financial operations of our multi-site organization, providing hands-on experience in cash management, reconciliations, financial reporting, and more. The ideal candidate is eager to take on increasing responsibilities and grow within our expanding company.
Responsibilities
- Cash Receipts & Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile cash receipts from bank accounts, clinic practice management systems, and credit card processors; prepare month-end accruals for deposits-in-transit.
- Accounts Payable & Vendor Management: Process vendor invoices, ensuring accurate classification to the appropriate clinic and expense account; manage weekly and monthly vendor statements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Month-End Close Support: Assist with month-end tasks, including credit card statement reconciliations, accounts payable reconciliation, lab revenue tracking, and charitable contributions.
- Tax & Compliance Support: Assist in handling tax notices, rebate processing, and managing incoming correspondence.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and take on advancing responsibilities as the company and department continue to grow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 0-4 years of experience in related field OR Associates degree in Accounting or Finance with 5 years of experience in related field
- Proficiency in Excel, including XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, and PivotTable functions
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to take on new challenges and expand responsibilities as the company evolves.
Additional Information
Hybrid environment: In-office presence required on Mondays and Tuesdays in Rye Brook, NY, with remote work flexibility for the remainder of the week.

Base Salary Range: $75,000-$80,000. This role is bonus eligible.
