What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician - Work with Exotics position at Alliance Animal Health?
Job duties include but are not limited to :
Our Veterinary Technicians are responsible for client communications in person and on the phone checking in and out appointments phlebotomy catheter placement cystocentesis fineneedle aspirates animal restraint anesthesia monitoring surgical prep running treatments on our appointments and stellar patient care. Our ideal candidate will have strong computer skills and excellent customer care skills. You must also be thoughtful friendly curious responsible punctual and have a strong desire to learn! CVT LVT RVT a definite plus!
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites scratches animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

- Knowledge in preventative care and hospital flow
- Ability to restrain pets in a lowstress and safe manner
- Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples urine fecal and skin
- Ability to properly setup and process laboratory samples and tests preferred but not required
- Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs
- Proficient in anesthesia preparation monitoring and recovery
- A selfstarter with the desire to continue to advance ones knowledge and skillset
- Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency
