Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing new Security Guards as well as training requirements. This role requires keen observation skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. As a Security Guard Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in making sure that new Security Guards adhere to all rules and policies as well as interact with our clients to make sure that our guards are providing the most professional experience possible. This position will start out as parttime but could result in fulltime hours if desired. This is an ideal position for retired and former Law Enforcement Officers.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
- Conduct regular audits of current Security Guards to make sure they are in compliance.
- Perform interviews of new security guards.
- Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order within the facility.
- Train new security guards and assist them with their certifications before starting their role.
- Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports.
- Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations.
- Assist in obtaining new clients.
Skills
- Proficient in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and monitoring equipment.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly.
- Background in law enforcement or military service is a plus.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
