About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Controls Engineer to lead our automation projects from concept to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing control systems, as well as training junior engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Execution: Proficient at concepting and quoting, proficiently lead teams, troubleshooting, and proficient at interfacing with customers.
- Project Management: Meet deadlines, take projects from start to finish, lead large and small projects both at our facility and at the customer's site, design system architecture for machine control systems, and specify and program data collection systems.
- Team Leadership: Lead teams of controls engineers for larger projects, provide quoting and estimating numbers to the Applications team as needed, provide programming, commissioning, and debug guidance to junior engineers, and provide mechanical design input to help produce the best equipment we can.
- Expertise: Be considered an expert at using any platform of automation and logic controllers, selecting, developing, and implementing vision systems, and in multiple robot platforms.
Requirements
- Experience: 10 years of experience related degree or equivalent work experience.
- Skills: Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities, ability to interface with the customer in a professional manner, strong project management skills as it relates to controls engineering of a project, and willingness to help train junior engineers and technicians.
