Job Summary
Alliance Automation is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team. As a senior-level controls engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing control systems, as well as training junior engineers and technicians.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have 10 years of experience in controls engineering and will be able to demonstrate expertise in multiple areas, including automation and logic controllers, vision systems, and robot platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Meet deadlines, take projects from start to finish, lead large and small projects both at our facility and at the customer's site, design system architecture for machine control systems, and specify and program data collection systems.
- Team Leadership: Lead teams of controls engineers for larger projects, provide quoting and estimating numbers to the Applications team as needed, provide programming, commissioning, and debug guidance to junior engineers, and provide mechanical design input to help produce the best equipment we can.
- Communication: Interface with the customer in a professional manner, communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
Requirements
- Education: Related degree or equivalent work experience.
- Skills: Strong project management skills, ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines, and excellent communication skills.
