The Vice President of Sales is a strategic, people-focused leader responsible for driving revenue, optimizing go-to-market strategies, and aligning internal teams to deliver exceptional value to customers and partners. This role will lead both the sales and marketing functions, overseeing team performance, market expansion, brand development, and customer experience, all while upholding the organization’s values and business goals.

- Revenue Growth Strategy and Execution
- Develop and lead a scalable revenue strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term objectives. Identify new business opportunities, optimize pricing and packaging, and expand into new industries or markets.
- Marketing & Demand Generation Oversight
- Guide the marketing team in creating and executing integrated marketing campaigns that support lead generation, brand awareness, and customer engagement. Align marketing activities with sales goals to ensure a unified go-to-market approach.
- Forecasting & Financial Planning
- Partner with finance to develop accurate sales forecasts and strategic plans. Monitor performance against targets, manage budgets, and ensure profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market.
- Customer Experience & Strategic Relationships
- Champion the full customer journey by ensuring seamless engagement across all touchpoints—from initial interaction to post-sale support. Strengthen relationships with key customers, partners, and distribution networks to foster loyalty, drive repeat business, and identify growth opportunities through cross-selling, upselling, and strategic partnerships.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- Strategic Market Expansion – Identify and pursue new geographic regions, customer segments, and industry verticals to accelerate company growth and diversification.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with engineering, operations, product development, and service teams to align internal capabilities with customer and market demands.
- Sales Enablement & Technology Optimization – Ensure the effective use of CRM tools and sales enablement platforms. Streamline sales processes and improve forecasting accuracy.
- Brand Strategy & Positioning – Ensure consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints. Align market presence with the company’s mission, values, and differentiation strategy.
- Risk Management & Competitive Intelligence – Monitor industry trends, economic conditions, and competitor activities to proactively identify risks and adapt commercial strategies.
- M&A and Strategic Growth Initiatives – Support the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, partnerships, and joint ventures that align with company objectives and market expansion goals.
- Performance Reporting – Define, measure, and report key KPIs across sales and marketing. Use data insights to inform decisions, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in sales and/or marketing roles, with a track record of delivering measurable revenue growth
- Proven experience managing cross-functional commercial teams in a B2B industrial, automation, or manufacturing environment
- Strong command of modern CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Pardot)
- Deep understanding of customer lifecycle, sales pipeline management, and high-performing marketing practices
- Demonstrated ability to build, coach, and retain top talent while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
- Excellent financial acumen with experience in forecasting, pricing strategy, and budgeting
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel as needed to engage with customers, partners, and internal teams
