POSITION PURPOSE
The Bank Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs to enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of bank employees. Works to link subjects and information together to help retention and deepen knowledge and requires excellent communication skills. This employee offers the customer the highest degree of service and promotes all Alliance Bank’s products and services.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language, bilingual helpful.
- High School diploma (or equivalency) and knowledge of specialized principles that would be obtained through a formal four (4) year academic program, and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a financial institution; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
- Requires five (5) years of experience in banking, financial services, or a training role.
- Three (3) years of experience at Alliance Bank is preferred.
- Familiarity with banking operations, regulations, and products.
- Must have advanced formatting and technical skills.
- Requires excellent written and oral communication skills to produce and deliver quality training programs.
- Must be comfortable with public speaking and at ease moderating training classes often consisting of attendees with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
- Ability to recognize the importance of customer service and work to incorporate traits of outstanding service into all facets of the training program.
- Ability to adapt easily in an environment of constant change and ability to multi-task.
- Position will require limited travel throughout the Alliance Bank network.
- Office setting with moderately varied desk-oriented activity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

- Conduct training sessions on various banking topics such as customer service, compliance, sales techniques, products, and operational procedures.
- Facilitate onboarding programs for new hires to familiarize them with banking systems, policies, and culture.
- Use diverse training methods, including workshops, e-learning, role-playing, and case studies, to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
- Develop training materials, manuals, and presentations tailored to the needs of different roles and departments.
- Ensures a welcoming environment for training attendees and maintains the training room and equipment.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Create assessments to evaluate learning effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Responsible for bank wide career development program and initiatives.
- Work closely with management to identify training needs and support organizational objectives.
- Plays a key role in the successful implementation of new products, procedures, and software by developing, coordinating, and presenting relevant training, as well as working closely with management during the phases of planning and implementation.
- Performs advanced formatting functions using Microsoft Office, design software, and training software as needed and prepares training resources.
- Creates annual compliance training schedule and communicates and tracks the compliance training on a quarterly basis.
- Attendance and punctuality a must.
