What are the responsibilities and job description for the Relationship Banker - Part Time position at Alliance Bank?
POSITION PURPOSE
This position acts as a customer advisor and navigator throughout the bank, uncovering, understanding, and acting upon financial cues to meet the customer’s needs. This employee offers the customer the highest degree of service and promotes all Alliance Bank’s products and services.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. High School diploma or equivalency.
2. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language, bilingual helpful.
3. Ability to offer Alliance Bank’s products and services.
4. Two (2) years’ experience in banking or job-related field and one (1) year of training and/or education in field or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
5. May consider cash handling, customer service, and/or administrative skills.
7. Ability to respond to customer requests with tact, diplomacy, and a sense of urgency.
8. Ability to meet performance expectations and job description functions for the role of a Service Specialist.
9. Ability to prioritize own tasks and responsibilities to ensure that excellent service to our customers is accomplished before most administrative functions are processed.
10. Ability to handle multiple tasks within a prescribed time period and adapt to frequent or unexpected changes in work responsibilities or processes.
11. Ability to operate basic office equipment including a PC with job related software.
12. Ability to handle bank and customer transactions with a high level of confidentiality.
13. Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
14. Knowledge of Alliance Bank’s policies and procedures.
15. Knowledge of Alliance Bank’s products and services.
16. Schedules are prepared based on business need and subject to change at any time. This may include the need for evenings, weekends, or holiday coverage.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

2. Actively sell and cross-sell bank services.
3. Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly service.
4. Provides professional services to the bank’s customers by prompt acknowledgment of the customer, maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor, ensures customer satisfaction on transaction requests and presents a professional image.
5. In the addition to the duties of a Service Specialist, a Relationship Banker I is expected to accurately and efficiently complete other customer transactions, including but not limited to:
a. Issue, Print, Maintenance, and Pin Debit cards.
b. Place Stop payments, and order checks through Deluxe website.
c. Ability to perform Dormant Account Maintenance.
d. Accept and input wires for customers.
e. Ability to print statements, and research images of checks and deposit.
f. Assist customers with digital banking products such as online banking, mobile applications, e-statements.
6. Knowledge of Consumer Account products, but not limited to:
a. Deposit and Savings account types and features
b. Certificate of Deposits/IRAs basic information
c. Estate Accounts
d. Revocable Trust
e. Minor Accounts
f. Safe Deposit Boxes – Opening new boxes and entry access into box
7. Knowledge of Business Account Types, but not limited to:
a. Deposit and Savings account types and features
b. Certificate of Deposits
c. What is required for small business customers such as Sole Proprietorships, Partnerships, Unincorporated Associations
8. Ability to Interview New Account customers and preforms other functions such as setting up customer records, verifying references, holding uncollected funds.
9. Open and Maintenance new accounts and sells Certificates of Deposits.
10. Ability to follow data integrity procedures by reviewing documentation, checking back work, imaging and indexing daily work.
11. Ability to discover other customer needs to cross sale/send referrals for other services including but not limited to:
a. Alliance Bank Mortgage
b. Alliance Bank Financial Services (ABFS)
c. Gayleans Insurance
d. Merchant Services
e. Remote Deposit Capture
12. Assist customers with account fraud such as identity theft, account take over, counterfeit checks, forgery items, debit card disputes, ACH disputes.
13. May preform vault duties such as ordering/shipping currency and coin and distributing money to other service specialists.
14. Ability to learn the role of Relationship Banker II and perform that role in a frontline or back up capacity as needed.
15. Establish, retain, and deepen relationships with banking center customers and potential customers to achieve sales goals and provide quality customer service.
16. Keep updated on all Alliance Bank policies and procedures pertaining to this position.
17. Attendance and punctuality a must.
