What are the responsibilities and job description for the Church Administrator position at Alliance Bible Church?
Overview —
We’re looking for a Church Administrator — a hybrid role that combines elements of bookkeeping and administration to meet the needs of our church. Because this position interfaces often with the church staff and the larger church body, a successful candidate must have an engaging and friendly personality.

Responsibilities —
Bookkeeping
- Manage the counting and depositing of tithes and support to insure accountability and accuracy.
- Provide annual receipts for all donations.
- Complete and file both quarterly and annual tax payments.
- Keep accurate and adequate financial records of income and expenses.
- Assist with compiling, developing and maintaining the annual church budget.
- Prepare and submit month-end and year-end financial statements and reports.
- Provide accounting insight to structure and processes appropriate for the church (i.e. accounting method – Accrual Vs. Cash, Chart of Accounts, Fund Accounting).
- Help implement, prepare for and cooperate with church audits.
- Help ensure that the church maintains all updated licenses and requirements for federal, state and local agencies.
Administration
- Assist with general office tasks and oversee communications.
- Help coordinate, plan and execute church events.
- Manage and maintain the church calendar.
- Assist with the coordination, planning and execution of staff activities.
Qualifications —
- Minimum of an Associates degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum three years of church finance and administration experience
- Excellent understanding of accounting concepts and government business regulations
- Minimum three years of experience with QuickBooks
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 10 per week
