Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong and visible presence to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor and control access points, ensuring only authorized personnel enter designated areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with directions, inquiries, and general assistance.
- Conduct routine patrols and inspections of the premises to detect and deter any suspicious or unauthorized activity.
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, following established protocols.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other security personnel as needed.
- Document and report all incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, reflecting the values of our organization.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year Security Officer experience – preferably in an exterior patrol
- Valid CT Security Guard License that will not expire for at leasts 3 months
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively
- Demonstrate high level customer service skills, including the ability to professionally handle difficult situations
- Ability to stand and patrol outside, no matter the weather or temparature
- Excellent observation and problem-solving abilities to identify potential security risks and take appropriate action
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, as well as lift and carry heavy objects when required
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Integrity, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility towards ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and staff
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or training in security or guest services will be an advantage
