We are a Freight Forwarding company specializing in air freight export from the United States, based at JFK Airport, and we’re looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our team! - Work in the operations department to assist clients with all aspects of air freight export.
- Collect export documentation from exporters to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate cargo pick-ups with trucking companies to ensure timely and efficient transportation.
- Manage airline bookings for export shipments and communicate effectively with airline representatives.
- Prepare and ensure accuracy of all export documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and offering solutions to logistical challenges.
- Maintain a smooth flow of operations while ensuring compliance with TSA, CBP, and Department of Commerce regulations.
- Support with tracking and monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure operational efficiency.
- 1-5 years of experience in air freight export or logistics.
- In-depth knowledge of export operations and compliance with TSA, CBP, and Department of Commerce regulations.
- Proficiency with Cargowise software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in paperwork and data entry.
