The Center Director, is an IN PERSON position working under direction of the Associate ECE Director.

Will manage the daily operations of a Head Start Center location.

Will provide direct supervision to the teachers, teacher assistants assigned to the site.

Will be responsible for monitoring of classroom environment for compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, Head Start Child Outcomes and North Carolina Childcare licensing regulations.

Will be responsible for all licensing, sanitation, and administration, as well as any facility maintenance concerns for center.

Must be able to demonstrate Knowledge of ITERS and ECERS Environmental Rating Scales.

Must maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, families, colleagues, and community members that promote effective communication and collaboration

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Compensation Range $58,000 - $64,000. $500.00 hiring bonus following successful completion of 90 days of employment document by performance evaluation.

Qualifications Required

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate significant management and leadership experience and must have

BA/BS in Early Childhood Education or a BA/BS in Elementary Education, Business Administration, or Management, or other related field

Current Level III NC Early Childhood Administrator Credential required

Two or more years of related supervisory and leadership experience is required.

Valid drivers license.

Candidate must be able to demonstrate flexibility and support classroom activities when needed.

Incumbent must have a working knowledge of Head Start policies, procedures, and performance standards.

Must possess and be able to demonstrate strong positive attitude and a strong commitment to the organizations s mission.

High level proficiency in administrative tasks and organizational skills, with the ability to keep projects on track.

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Great attention to detail and a willingness to do whats necessary to achieve ORGANIZATIONs goals.

Strong work ethic with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals and organizations.

Proven track record of working well in a team environment with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
