- Being a humanities teacher at Alliance involves developing deep learning partnerships with scholars, and facilitating learning that empowers scholars with a critical lens through which they'll analyze and challenge the texts and ideas before them, therefore developing the intellectual curiosity to question the world around them and advocate on behalf of themselves and their communities.
- We closely collaborate and work with ELD, Intervention, and SPED departments to ensure alignment between our courses. We also focus on the Core 4 strategies across content areas to ensure we are designing accessible instruction.
- We provide English Language Development teachers with resources such as curriculum maps, a repository of instructional materials and videos, diagnostic assessments and item banks, one-on-one teacher coaching, weekly professional development, and the freedom to innovate.
