Alliance Construction - Underground Utility Operators
At Alliance Construction, we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Underground Utility Operators in Sioux Falls, SD. As an Underground Utility Operator, you will be responsible for supporting the installation and maintenance of underground utility systems such as water, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation of underground utility systems (generally for wet utilities water/sewer) according to project specifications
- Operate machinery and equipment to excavate and prepare sites for utility installation
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on underground utility systems
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
- Use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit level.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an Underground Utility Operator is preferred but not required
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
