Team Overview
Our Finance Team executes ministry organization objectives by overseeing payroll, the budget, accounts payable and receivable, and the Form 990. We seek to serve Team Members with joy and excellence in a timely manner as we work behind the scenes to keep our ministry's operations moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Prepare bi-weekly payroll, regular monthly payroll journal entries and bank account entries, and ensure proper taxation of employer-paid benefits and compliance with state withholding, unemployment, and disability insurance
- Accounting Operations: Support annual audit and IRS Form 990 preparation efforts
- Team Support: Respond to Team Member and HR payroll-related questions and issues, maintain an understanding of internal accounting operations and systems in order to assist Team Leaders in identifying and resolving budget variances
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business field, or the equivalent in work experience
- 3 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or bookkeeping
- Knowledge of payroll management and compliance
- General understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Effectively balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
