IAQ Technician

Job Summary Overview:
The technician’s responsibilities entail the inspection, repair, cleaning and constructing life safety assets (Fire Dampers, Fire Stopping, Fire Doors, Infection Control, Hood/Kitchen/Duct & AHU Cleaning). The Technician is responsible for the daily functions of life safety assets in accordance with OSHA, NFPA-80,101 & 105, IKECA, NADCA and other regulatory agencies.
Major Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):
- Able to assist field workers and trainees
- Able to assist projects in both commercial(healthcare), public work, industrial and residential
- Able to communicate fluently and efficiently with fellow technicians, office staff, customers, and regulatory agencies
- Able to interpret and practice industry standards and regulations
- Able to complete job forms (Reporting Documentation, Timecards)
- Complete and perform inspections and repairs to life safety assets
- Attend trainings as needed
- Drive company vehicles to and from job sites
- Maintain good driving record
- Provide efficient, diplomatic, and professional, customer service
- Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned by Foreman
Position Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:
- Certification in inspection, cleaning, and restoration is preferred
- Excellent working knowledge of hand and power tools
- Comfortable with fieldwork and working in all types of weather and environments
- llCRC (inspection cleaning and restoration certification), IFDIA (international fire door inspector association) or FDAI (fire door assembly inspector) is preferred
Physical Requirements in Accordance with ADA:
- Carrying/Lifting: Lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Standing: Maximum Standing
- Sitting: Minimal
- Walking: Maximum Walking
- Crawling: Maximum crawling
- Repetitive Motion: Use of tools
- Visual Acuity: Able to use Respirator without obstruction able view with or without corrective devices
- Environment exposure: Hazardous Materials
- Other: Ability to hear and speak for telephone use is required
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Salary: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
