Duties
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Support month-end closing activities by reconciling accounts and preparing necessary journal entries.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
- Utilize financial software for data entry, analysis, and reporting purposes.
- Assist with preparation of annual financial audit documentation.
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Finance Director as needed, including scheduling meetings and organizing files.
- Understand and apply monitoring policies and procedures and contract requirements.
Education & Experience
- BA in business, accounting or related field preferred.
- Experience in a finance or accounting role or an applicable combination of experience and education.
- Experience with understanding and interpreting contracts for implementation.
- Understanding and knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles, cash-based accounting, and audit processes.
- Familiarity with financial software is essential.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
