The Pharmacist reports to the General Manager.
Classification: PRN flexible hours
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure maintenance of accurate and complete documentation, including but not limited to IP accountability logs, temperature excursion forms, and study related communications.
- Utilizes requisite equipment, non-sterile and/or compounding supplies and computer systems as appropriate for the procurement, preparation for verification and/or delivery of medication.
- Assumes responsibility for at least one pharmacy related project outside of normal job duties determined by supervisor/manager including workflow redesign, performance improvement, safety, quality control, regulatory, administrative, staff development and technology.
- Source document uploading
- Receipt of shipments from sponsor
- Tracking and processing drug returns and replacements
- Keeping and verifying inventory of unblinded supplies and ordering
- Maintaining study documentations and investigational product accountability
- Ordering and shipping of investigational product (IP)
- Transferring of IP from storage to lab to site
- Maintain temperature logs per protocol and FDA guidelines
- Area clean up after IP Mixing/production
- All paperwork-filing/uploading/setting up files and binders in Electronic Data Capture system and keeping up onsite books and regulatory.
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid pharmacy technician license in residing state
- Successful completion of a formalized pharmacy technician program, National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
- Minimum of two years prior experience as a pharmacy technician plus completion of advanced competencies checklist as documented and approved by the Department of Pharmacy, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment where processes change and improve continually.
- Able to function independently without constant supervision and adapt to change.
- Positive attitude and the ability and desire to work in a company that embraces collaboration and a team approach.
- Professional and highly motivated “self-starter” with the ability to exercise initiative.
- Excellent task management and prioritization skills.
- Proven ability to successfully build and cultivate excellent long-term relationships
- Excellent follow up
