FRENCH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER

Part-time qualified teachers: Alliance Française de Philadelphie is currently seeking, experienced French teachers. Minimum 3 years teaching experience and/or FLE or French language teaching degree required.

Job description Teaching: • Teaching General French and Immersion adults, teenagers and children classes • Use of the material chosen and provided by the AF as well as their own teaching material • Use of the online learning platform “Apolearn” • Teachers are required to follow CEFRL framework and classes repartition. • Must be available to work on weekday evenings and Saturdays. • Lesson planning and class preparation. • Correction and follow up of the student’s work. • Administration tasks related to classes, such as filling the class forms, be informed of the different events and pass on to students etc… • Participation to the teaching staff meetings Requirements The teacher must be a native of a French speaking country, or have near fluency level. For all non-native speakers of French language wanting to teach French, additional requirements apply: • DALF C1 (minimum) or DALF C2 (preferred) as proof of fluency level • A French as a Foreign Language diploma (Master FLE or DAEFLE) or significant experience in a French as a foreign language institution with references. • A successful experience in French teaching • Good knowledge of the CEFRL framework Please send a resume/CV and a letter of motivation that includes your availability to: Philippe Poirier, director@afphila.com The Alliance Française de Philadelphie is an Equal Opportunity employer.
