Vehicle Integration Test Engineer
Job Summary
- Define, verify and support OEM integration of electronic and electrical interfaces (data link and discrete) for on-highway diesel engine applications.
- Support application engineers and OEMs in the definition and integration of new electronic interfaces with Medium Duty and Heavy-Duty engine controls.
- Provide linkage between OEMs and Controls Development teams.
- Troubleshoot OEM device compatibility issues with engine control system H/W and S/W.
- Assist in developing technical specifications, implementing designs, and to deliver high performance, low-cost equipment or system results integrated with customers’ products.
- Perform OEM interface and engine control system feature testing.
- Vehicle integration electronics upcoming, new, and current product support
Key Responsibilities

- Demonstrates good understanding and applies knowledge of an engineering discipline.
- Applies engineering and/or scientific skills and continues to develop experience in creating engineering solutions.
- Demonstrates the ability to organize requirements and develop test cases to properly validate stated requirements
- Write and gauge automated test procedures based on the validated and verified manual test procedures
- Able to properly utilize general electrical engineering tools (Examples include but are not limited to oscilloscopes, waveform/function/signal generators, power supplies, multimeters, decade boxes, and soldering tools)
· Qualifications and Competencies
· Required: Bachelor's in an Engineering discipline
· Preferred Degrees: Electrical Engineering / EET, Computer Engineering / CET, Mechanical Engineering / MET, Automotive Engineering
· Experience
· Minimal relevant experience desired, such as internship, co-op, or other pertinent work experience.
· Knowledge/experience with electric vehicles a plus, but not a must
· Work Environment
· Expected work time: M-F ~8am – 5pm
· Hybrid Style (come into lab when the work requires it)
