We have a large and stable client looking for a contractor until the end of the year. Position is ideally based in the Columbus, OH area but can be remote - anywhere within Eastern or Central time zone. May be required to travel into corporate office during key dates such as kick-off, go-live.

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications for Position

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Leadership Development, Organization Development, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience in the leadership and learning field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role
  • Advanced level knowledge of experience in training and instructional design for both classroom and eLearning environments
  • Knowledge and extensive past use of a broad range of learning strategies and technologies
  • Knowledge of electric transmission and distribution and regulations including OSHA
  • Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial report design
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills that include the ability to communicate sensitive, confidential, or complex information
  • Strong collaboration and management skills
  • Ability to work well across all levels of an organization
  • Excellent computer skills, including Excel and other software applications
  • An ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position

  • Experience working for a Electric Utility / Electric line of business
  • Understanding of the Utility business environment and leadership philosophy, concepts and best practices
  • Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certification
  • Responsibilities :

    This role is responsible for defining, implementing, and sustaining the learning strategies for NiSource. Partners with line of business stakeholders and leadership to identify, project, and prioritize organizational competency needs. Develops and drives learning initiatives to meet business priorities. Drives continuous improvement through data-based decisions and processes.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and drive alignment to business and strategic priorities through long-term forecasting and risk-based prioritization.
  • Collaborate with business partners at all levels to identify organizational competence needs and creates, implement, and monitor effective training strategies.
  • Set training development and delivery standards and best practices through industry relationships and align consistency with generation and electric transmission / distribution
  • Develop and implement field guides of best practice from the electrical industry
  • Provide guidance to project team on the safety requirements as outlined in the applicable policies, procedures, and standards
  • Define and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure training development and delivery processes are effective, efficient, and in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Create, implement, and maintain processes to align competency and training requirements to business level work plans, resourcing, and qualification requirements.
  • Lead teams to analyze, design, and develop key training initiatives.
  • Evaluate and supervise contract resources to implement and sustain key training initiatives.
